Each pound of this medicated feed contains 22.2 mg of Monensin. Feed at the rate of 0.63 to 4.5 lbs per 100 lbs of bodyweight in order to provide 0.14 to 1.0 mg per lb of bodyweight per head per day. Feed up to a maximum of 9.0 lbs or not more than 200 mg per head per day depending on the severity of the challenge. Do not exceed a maximum inclusion rate of 35% in the daily total diet so as not to exceed 0.3 PPM of added selenium per head per day. During the first 5 days of feeding, cattle should receive no more than 100 mg per day contained in not less than 1 lb of feed. Feed along with other grains and/or roughages. Consumption should be carefully controlled until animals become adjusted to the feed. Additional care should be exercised with starved stressed or debilitated animals. Provide plenty of fresh, clean water at all times.

Caution:

Follow label directions. Feeding added selenium at levels in excess of 0.3 PPM in the total diet is prohibited. CAUTION: Do not allow horses or other equines access to feed containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin medicated cattle and goat feed is safe for use in cattle and goats only. Do not feed undiluted. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin has been fatal to cattle and could be fatal to goats. Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommended by the feeding directions, as reduced average daily gains may result. If feed refusals containing Monensin are fed to other groups of cattle, the concentration of Monensin in the refusals fed should be taken into consideration to prevent Monensin overdosing. WARNING: A withdrawal time has not been established for pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
